We are excited to announce the schedule for the 2019-2020 Calendar. There has been intentional effort put into moving the majority of the USARSouth Women’s schedule into the “Off” season for the majority of the South (Dec-Feb), which we hope leaves players with more availability, due to less conflicts with home club matrix matches.
We also have identified greater challenges to participate in. There will only be 2 tournaments for the senior side, each of higher intensity than our events from last year. This will serve to ensure that talent availability is not diluted among too many events, whether due to financial or schedule restrictions.
All of those that select invitations to one of these tournaments will also be invited to a Friday to Sunday 15s camp in Florida, which will also break for a Saturday “Rugby Americas North Beach 5s” tournament to bring us together. Finally, from these events will be selections for RAN 10s, our annual international event, where we get to compete against International Competition and aim to bounce back from a 3rd place 2019 finish.

This year the USA Rugby South Women’s Panther Program is proud to announce a full U23/Collegiate women’s schedule, culminating in a small international series of 10s with Caribbean nations. There will be 2 tournaments, and a camp in tandem with the Senior Women’s RAN 10s side to prepare in early summer.
The tryout dates for U23 happens in tandem with the Senior Women’s tryouts.
These events will also provide a wonderful opportunity to give 3-4 senior side women the opportunity to assistant coach. These younger events will be more developmental and focused on perfecting skills, rather than on performance like the senior sides. Having the additional hands and eyes will be a great option to give more individual attention to players, as well as to build coaches within the South-Eastern US, and maybe even potential future USA Rugby South coaches.
